Everybody's growing up!
Sep. 13th, 2005 05:39 pmAs of yesterday, Jake is 8 lbs 14 ounces. The pediatrician declared his thrush cured (though instructed me to do one more gentian violet treatment), and we'll follow up at the end of the week on his tummy issues (we believe the Nystatin may have been upsetting his tummy).
I went into Cambridge for my 6 week follow up, and had a great visit with the midwives - both the one who inadvertantly caught me in labor at my 33 week check-up, and the one who met us at the hospital after Jake was born. It was really fun to see them again, and they cooed over Jacob nicely. : ) I was declared healthy.
I also stopped at HBS and visited for a bit, and had lunch with a few co-workers, which was fantastic. It was so nice to see them and catch up, and they remind me why I like working there so much - such great people with whom to work!
Toby really wants to sleep in his big boy bed, but gets cold feet at the last minute. Here's a picture from our practice-run tonight.

(He did end up in his crib though).
At Laurie's house, Toby has started her curriculum for 2-year olds. This means that when I see him each afternoon he has spent with her he is so excited to show me his latest project- like a "Hand Hat" he made with a big yellow handprint on it, or a worksheet on the letter A, etc. He is so proud of himself. It is adorable. I'm so proud of him too!
