We had a great visit with Aunt Sarah this afternoon. Jake was dressed for the occasion (although the pants were too big so they looked a bit like clown pants on him) and was in good spirits.

Toby was in fine form too. He repeated a behavior he did a few weeks ago, that makes me think he'll grow up to have his own talk-show, or to be a therapist.

Basically, he pulls his big-boy-chair from the kitchen to the family room or wherever you're sitting (no small feat, with the baby gates), sits right in front of you (today Sarah and me, in turn) and says "I just talk a' you, Auntie." Then he climbs into his chair, gets good and comfy, and asks things earnestly like "How you day was Auntie?" After he's interviewed you about your day, he'll share some of his own day...leaning back, both arms on the arm rests "I color table Laurie's, Mommy" or "I have fun a' Laurie's, Auntie" etc.

If you try to have a side-conversation, he'll lean way forward into your face and say loudly, "Scuse me, Auntie. I just talk a' you!"

This is such a funny behavior. I have no idea where he gets it from. Here he is in action:
