Merry Christmas - again!
Jan. 8th, 2006 08:14 pmLast night we had a 2nd Christmas celebration, this time with Aunt Sarah & Uncle Magnus, who were in Sweden for Christmas. So, Sarah & Magnus, Mom & Dad joined us for dinner here at our house.
We had a great time, despite some rocky patches where one small boy or another threw a wrench into the works. They each made great comebacks after dinner though, because they hit some pretty great milestones.
* Jake ROLLED OVER!! Front to back, so it was really a topple, but still, we were pretty excited about it. He's wriggling as if he'd like to go back to front, but that will take more time. I was too excited to run & get the camera.
* Toby wrote the letter T (he recognizes lots of letters, but draws mostly O's), also he drew a face, and a nice one at that! I took a picture to record the moment.
A few pictures:
Toby, writing "letters":

If you look to the left of the smiley face written by Nana, you'll see Toby's "Bendy T" (That's what he called it) He said he was writing his name. Also, he said "'dat guy need hair" and added hair to Nana's smiley face.
Toby's "face":

Also, a funny misunderstanding:
Toby was up well past his bedtime so we could have dessert and open presents. At one point, Sarah said to him "Toby, you're up late aren't you?" he looked at her as if she were nuts and replied "Auntie! I not a plate!"
We all laughed so hard we could barely stand. This, of course, interested Toby, who made Auntie repeat the routine 3 more times. Silly boy.
