(no subject)

No time for many notes, but, as usual, don't want to forget stuff...

Jake can go from on all fours to sitting. He's so eager to crawl, but just not there yet. He's eating a lot of different foods, and really seems to like food a lot.

When Toby wants keep something for later, he says he wants to "Save it for t'later." (mixture of tomorrow and later) Love it.

We got ice cream to celebrate a potty success (don't get too excited, it hasn't been repeated). I think it was Toby's first cone. And a cone "with jiminies" no less!

Joy: don't read this one

Some people report that kids can get freaked out when they make the connection that having chicken for dinner means they are eating the creature they know says "Cluck cluck" or that we eat cow. Similarly, when eating lobster, I know some kids who need a lot of explaining around the whole thing.

Last night, as we were getting meat out of tails and claws for a dinner gathering tonight, Toby was munching on the little legs. I asked him if he wanted more, and he asked nicely for some "lobster face." Guess he may need a different sort of explaining than I had anticipated. ha!

(lobster stock is bubbling on the stove now. YUM!_
