I've often joked about how often certain entertainment venues change name...Staples center, Fleet center, Bank Boston Pavillion etc, and how I'd be happy to name it, if only they would fund my desired space: "Toby, let's eat breakfast in the Bank Boston Kitchen Addition" for example. (Though more likely, our sponsor would be Pampers or Gerber, but I digress)

Well, yesterday I planted the "Savtah honoroary blueberry patch" in the giant, now only partially-empty bed next to our driveway. I put in ten low-bush Brunswick blueberry bushes, which should keep us in blueberries for years to come. We will think of Savtah each time we go picking in our own yard! Thank you Savtah!

-as an aside, I also put in four euonymous bushes. But grabbed two different varieties at the store because they looked same and were right next to each other (Canadale Gold and Emerald n gold) Argh. The idea of pulling up some of them is so horrible to me, but I'm nervous that I won't like how they look in the winter (Canadale is evergreen, and emerald n gold turns pink or red in winter) I was supposed to get all emerald n gold.

postscript (as if you really care, but there you go) We exchanged the bushes today. The nursery was good about it. We'll see in Autumn whether or not I've got them straight. : )

Crawling

Jake has put together how to crawl FORWARD! He can do it for short distances and only if he doesn't think about it too much. : )

He did it first when Auntie was here on Friday (he had to be properly motivated after all!) I did get it on video, but haven't processed it yet.
Here is a good description of Jake's crawling efforts to date.

Here is two other pictures from Auntie's visit:

I'm playing with Flickr to see if I can use full-sized pictures there and comment and organize like I'd like. I'm going to have several big batches from various birthday celebrations.

We celebrated Toby's 3rd birthday with playgroup on Friday. The theme was Dora the explorer, with cupcakes, activities and "pin the backpack on Dora". Toby loved it, and the weather was nice enough to play outside, which was great.

Here are some pictures...let's see how this works.

and a few select ones:

More pictures from the weekend - and today in Hollis coming soon - likely tomorrow night!
