Balloon flower
Jul. 4th, 2006 08:03 pmSo, for a change, no ID necessary for this flower. It's a balloon flower, a gift that Sarah brought by last week, after we'd been talking about this plant for some reason.
Of course, it made me look long and hard (well, actually didn't take very long at all) at the flower bed by the back steps. it was sorely in need of some love; euonymous scale, tipped over andromeda, and many many many weeds.
After a few hours of attention, and some mulch, we're in much better shape. So, thank you Sarah, for kicking off this small but rewarding project!
