Jake is now very very mobile and a force with which to be reckoned. He has a new tooth on the top, has started signing a bit, pulls up everywhere, and is developing...opinions.

The other morning, Toby wanted ice cream at breakfast time and was quite disappointed to know it was not going to happen. Perhaps as a a foreshadow of things to come (teenage angst channeled into "his music") Toby grabbed his guitar (thanks, Uncle David!) and composed this song. It's hard to hear, but the words after he tunes the guitar are are "Ohhh, My Mom said..."

not the answer we expected...

Up in Hollis last Saturday, Auntie Sarah was bringing Toby a glass of milk, and had a beer for herself in her other hand. She jokingly offered Toby the beer. It went like this:

Toby: "AUNTIE! I get the milk! Not the beer!"
Sarah: "Oh, why not?"
Toby: "I don't like that kind of beer!"

ha ha ha. Where does this kid get it? Keeps us all laughing.
