Home again...
Oct. 15th, 2006 07:56 pmAfter 36 hours in transit, we finally made it home. We are happy to be here, though a day late and possibly a few dollars short. (I have Delta's 800 number and plan to use it tomorrow).
Though our pilot light's being out (and our house at 50 degrees) was unwelcoming, Sarah's amazing welcome-home made us all feel incredibly loved. She left a beautiful plant, pumpkins for the boys (and pumpkin cookies), dinner in the fridge, fruit, fresh bread, and other groceries. Oh, and a bunch of spices I've been needing from Penzeys. A total lifesaver. Amazing woman, that Auntie.
I have more to write about the trip - but need to get unpacked, showered, laundry, note to work about my plans for tomorrow, and off to bed.
