Toby, the science kid
Oct. 19th, 2008 09:18 amJake has had a resurgence of the "reactive airways" issues we had the winter before last. (yes, last winter gave us the false conclusion that he'd outgrown it).
Anyway, we've been having to do nebulizer treatments again (and may go all the way through the winter 2x / day, more when he's sick, if the ped. doesn't approve a medication switch). What this means (and Toby caught this immediately) is that they get two bouts of TV each day during the treatments. So, they've been watching a new show (new to us, at least) called "Sid, the Science Kid." It's really a fun show, and they talk about charts, observations, comparisons etc.
Yesterday morning when we got up, we lit a fire in the fireplace to heat up the house. We checked the indoor / outdoor thermometer from time to time, and Toby kept track of our observations. It was all I could do to not introduce him to Excel charting! :)
