So, a friend emailed today wondering our family could meet her family at a Club Med in Mexico for a week. We have vacationed together before and it's been tons of fun. I've never been to a Club Med, but the appeal of a week in the sun, all inclusive, with a kids' club is strong.

Ironically, the amount this trip would cost (ok, excluding airfare) is a bit less than we just paid for Tory's vet bills. How's that for a scary bit of perspective?

We love our dogs.

Kent and I went to a Club Med (in Cancun) a couple of years ago. We had a blast! I didn't know if I would like the all-inclusive thing because I had done a lot of independent travel, but I have to say that it was really quite nice. Sounds like you guys deserve a nice getaway!

I would SO love to go. I've never been to a Club Med. Not that we had the money burning a hole in our pockets in any case, but when a pet gets sick, you find it, right?

Ah well, maybe someday, right?

alas, no. Though it's hard to get on a 12 year old dog, I'm told. I wish we had it though.

The Club Med in Ixtapa, Mexico is family oriented - and it's a nicer area than Cancun. Still very touristy, but there are some nice little places to visit. I went on the flying trapeze there once!
